A few demo cards to share

Hello There!
This weekend has been busy but we have been blessed that the sun shone!  On Saturday I was over in Glasgow at Millers Art store demonstrating the DO Crafts products they have for sale.  It was lovely to see familiar faces along with some new ones too :)

Here are a few of the cards that I was demoing ... first up is the Papermania Ahoy There range.  If you are anything like me and love all things 'beachy' and heading down the beach to chill out then you will love this range.

I had great fun creating this little beach hut that is simply made from cutting a few corners off a 5 x 7 kraft card blank.

The next range is the Home To Nest which is all about gardening and birds.  It's the colours of this range that made me love working with these.

On this card I used the new Xcut palm punches too to create the little flowers on the edges.

And there was also another addition to the Capsule Collection, this time the Brights Spots and Stripes.  Perfect for crafting on a dull day as these papers are SO bright and cheerful!

The little flowers are made using the Xcut palm punch again and I embellished the centres with some of the polka dot buttons.

So thank you to all who came and said 'hello', I hope you were inspired to get creative with the Do Crafts product!

Enjoy the rest of the day!!

Ruby Rock-It's June Fundamental Blog Hop

Hello Ruby Rock-it Fans and soon to be Ruby Rock-it fans,
Welcome to our June blog hop!  This month, we are featuring our very versatile Fundamentals cardmaking supplies, gorgeous vellum, and our bling!
Here is what I made to share with you today

The butterfly was made using the Clearsnaps Design Adhesives which I applied to some of the Ruby Rock-It plain vellum.  Even though I was careful removing the backing from the adhesives I found it easier to warm it between my hands first.  There is such beautiful details in them that it would be a shame to leave some of it behind!  Once on, I gently rubbed in some of the Clearsnaps fine glitter.  I then cut out the hearts and made them into wings.

I also decided that I wanted some colour in the wings so I used a blue Kurecolor pens, which is alcohol based.  It just added a delicate amount of colour on the wings.

To Blog Or Not To Blog ...

.... That is the question that has been on my lips for awhile!

Seriously how do they do it?

You know, the people who write the most amazing blogs showing off their beautiful creations day to day!???  I am in total awe and would so love to be able to do the same.

So what is the solution?  Is there a solution …… ???

I am wondering if I shouldn’t blog and stick with a facebook page to share my work on.  There is always a hub of activity on there and to be honest that is where I tend to follow all my favourite artists, companies and creative friends … along with non crafty friends and family too!!

Yes I know that a blog is a great place for sharing tutorials and listing all the fabby product you have used to make the creations with …. But ….

Anyhoos!

I have taken the thinking cap off and here I am stealing a few minutes while the little people are out canoeing trying madly to catch up on sharing a few of my creations!
These little creations were made from the March/April release from DO Crafts and were shown at my demos.
The goody bag for March/April was filled with some gorgeous items ranging from new Urban Stamps, Forever Friends Krafty Notes and one of my fav lines All Aboard.  Here are a few of the cards I made with it

The Forever Friends Krafty notes is a pretty range with soft pastel colours

And I teamed it here with the owl Urban Stamp … which I have done with other papers!  Such a cute stamp!

I shall save sharing the All Aboard product as I think it deserves a post on it’s own!!
Till the next time I post!

A CC Club Give Away!

Hello everyone!  I am here today to share with you some things I have been making with the new Creativity Club download ... Easter Delight.  It is filled with cute Easter bunnies, chicks, tulips, flowers and those gorgeous spring colours.

Perfect for making a little gift box and card for someone this Easter.

After many um's and arh's I finally asked Santa to bring me a hougie board and after watching an episode of Create and Craft last week, I have been hooked on making this little box that was shown on the show.  I so need to get the books to play some more!!

For the card I used the Xcut Oval dies and then the posies to cut out the flower shapes which I filled in with other posies.

I have been really enjoying creating with these fab downloads which have been designed by Jill Pryor.

Do you look like them!?  Would you like to have a play with next weeks download??
Yes!?!  Well the lovely manager of the Creativity Club, Emma Collins has given us a wee prize to give away!

To enter just leave me a comment about why your would like to create with the download and I'll choose a winner on Thursday Night.  The only rule is you must craft with it over the weekend and blog about your crafty make.

Good Luck!
